Arts Mark Award to local schools

The Executive Director of the Arts Council, Andy Carver, has written to advise me that the prestigious Arts Mark Award has been awarded to:

Alwoodley Primary School, Carr Manor High School and Highfield Primary School.

The award signifies that these shools offer a broad range of arts opportunities for their pupils in lessons, in clubs out of school hours and in partnerships with artists and arts organisations.

I extend my hearfelt congratulations to everyone in these schools for the effort they have put in towards gaining these awards.
