Fabian was delighted to have the opportunity to meet the winners of his Christmas Card competition today and award the prized that he had purchased for the school pupils who were successful. The short ceremony took place in bright sunlight at 1:00 pm on the steps of the Civic Hall and appropriately alongside the busy Christmas Market and funfare in Millennium Square. Fabian presented book tokens to the winners and, to evertones great surprise, Roger Tuby owner of International Funfares whose rides form part of the Christmas Market, came along with extra prizes for the winners.
The winning entry chosen by David Lascelles and Diane Howse of Harewood House was designed by Charlotte Holliday a Year 7 pupil at Cardinal Heenan High School.
