Fabian meets local members of the Jewish Community

Fabian meets members of the Leeds North East Jewish Community working for others

On Sunday 23rd November 2014, Fabian visited the Ziff Centre in Moortown for the launch of Mitzvah day. This is a now well established tradition within the Jewish community whereby people give willingly of their time and money to support local projects for those in need.

On the same day Fabian also visited the Sinai Reform Synagogue for the baking of Challah Bread. In a welcome gesture of peace and harmony, the bread making was done together with members from a local mosque. The baked bread was then donated to PAFRAS (Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers). Photograps show Fabian at work making the bread with members of both the Jewish and Muslim comunities working togther to help others less fortunate.
