Health Expenditure in Leeds

Fabian Hamilton submitted a parliamentary question on the 29th Januray 2010 asking the Secretary of State for Health, what the cost was of establishing the Reional Oncology Centre at St James University Hospital.

Ann Keen replied -

The Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority (SHA) reports that the Bexley Wing, the regional oncology centre based at St James University Hospitals, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust cost £220 Million

Fabian also asked the Minister how many doctors and nurses were employed at Chapel Allerton Hospital, Leeds in 1997 compared with 2009.

Ann Keen could not report that information in the format requested but supplied figures for NHS doctors and qualified nurses employed by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in those years counted on the 30th September.
