Judging cakes at Barclays Bank
Fabian's aesthetic and culinary skills were required on Friday 28th September at Barclays Bank in Moortown. Along with other UK branches, staff at the bank were taking part in support of the Macmillan Cancer Support fund raising day by baking cakes of all descriptions in a competition. Fabian was asked to perform the difficult task of judging the competition.

Fabian is shown here with bank staff after he had decided the winning entry, a cake baked by team member Kirsten that cleverly incorporated two candles into the icing. After the competition had been judged, bank staff invited their customers to consider donating to Macmillan Cancer Support and rewarded them with slices of the home made cakes they had made.
Fabian made sure of asking for a slice of cake before leaving the branch in order to fortify himself for his latest charity cycle ride from London to Paris on which he set off immediately afterwards.
