MPs unite against police cuts
Fabian and his Labour colleague MPs at Westminster are becoming increasingly alarmed at the extent of the government cuts on police numbers. They have uncovered that since the Tory / Liberal Democrat government came to power, there have been no fewer than 1159 posts lost in Yorkshire and Humberside. By the time of the next election this number will have risen to the staggering figure of 1743.
To draw attention to the scale of the problem, MPs appeared together for a campaign photograph showing their solidarity and dismay about what is happening.
