Lower Income households - 600,000 people- are benefiting from lower social tariffs, and prices will not rise at all this winter for almost half a million of the most needy house holds. We will continue to look at what can be done, but what we will not do, whether for petrol or for gas and electricity bills. is to take the ad vice of the official Opposition , because their fuel duty stabiliser would mean that we would have to Increase the tax on petrol by 3p a litre.
