Sanjeev Kapoor, the top rated Indian chef and internationally known television personality was welcomed at the House of Commons on February 11th. Hosted by Fabian Hamilton MP (North East Leeds, Yorkshire) the event promoted Kapoor's plans of expanding within the Asian 'ready to cook' food market in the UK. Richard Quest, a CNN journalist, named Sanjeev Kapoor as one of the top five Celebrity Chefs in the world, alongside Gordon Ramsey and Wolf Gang Puck.

The event at the House of Commons highlighted the importance of wholesome Indian cuisine within the busy and fast paced lifestyle of the British. Already an international personality, Kapoor's launch in the UK will emphasise how his brand fits in with traditional Indian cuisine, yet caters for individuals and families that do not have the time to prepare healthy meals.
