My office is very busy and all communications have to be prioritized. Messages from the web site are treated in the same manner and with the same level of importance as other communications - email, post and telephone. Please do not be disappointed if you do not receive an immediate reply. If you are a Leeds North East constituent and have contacted me with an issue upon which I will need to take action I will try to respond as promptly as possible. Please note that I will endeavour to respond within 20 working days but if you have not heard from me after 20 working days then please do contact me again.
If your issue relates to Leeds City Council you should (if you have not already done so) contact your local Ward Councillor who, as your elected representative on the Council, will be able to offer assistance. You can find your local Councillors via the Leeds City Council website (www.leeds.gov.uk) or call 0113 2476922.
Unfortunately, due to my position as a Shadow Foreign Office Minister, I am unable to sign any Early Day Motions (EDMs).
If you are a student approaching me for help with an academic project, such as a dissertation, because of the number of such requests I receive I can only offer to assist those students living or attending an educational institution in my constituency.
Parliamentary protocol states that members of Parliament can only take up issues on behalf of their own constituents. Please ensure that included in your message is your name, full postal address, including post code, and a contact number.
