Tour de France in Yorkshire

A glorious success

Fabian was delighted to be caught up in the Tour de France fever that gripped Yorkshire on the 5th and 6th of July. Fabian was overjoyed at the way that it seemed that the whole population of Yorkshire turned out to encourage the riders and that so many people had worked so hard to make the event such a rip-roaring success. He was personally able to be present when the race started on the Headrow in Leeds on Saturday morning. The following day Fabian arrived on his bike at Riponden where, after being interviewed on the Sunday Politics Show about the tour, he was able to see the riders working flat out on their climb of Riponden Bank.
